Basic Photo Effects: More Glossy

Make your photos look more glossy.
this works great with metallic looking things like robots.




Step 1:
Open up a picture that you want to apply this effect to.
File>Open

Step 2:
Duplicate the image.
Image>Duplicate or select your image in the layers palette then press Alt+Up

Step 3:
Select the duplicated copy(the layer thats on top) on the layers palette. Apply a blur filter on the top layer. I like to use gaussian blur as I did with that picture but you can play around and use other blur filters to acheive a different type of glossy look.
Go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur

Step 4:
Overlay. On the top layer where you have put the blur filter on change the property of the image to OVERLAY. Lower the opacity or keep it at 100% depends on how glossy u want it to look.

Step 5:
give your self a hand
