(PPC) Google Maps MOD for Globe

kayayari lang kanina. i used space trick na pinost ni sir bhoc (tnx sir). its not a handler version. tried it and it works well and loads fast on my PPC. it should also work on all platforms esp symbians coz the version i used is for symbian phones. well on my device it has a bug. the my location feature is not support in my device. dont know on other ppcs but aside from dat all works perfect.

Bugs on my Device:

-no my location option
-its not touchscreen. must use down,up,left,right keys to navigate.
-I can only cancel the search option with typing an entry

for ppc users:

-use the keyboard to zoom in and zoom out

for symbians:

-don't know haven't tried it yet but hey just shoutt!! the version i used if for your platform
-install the app
-tools > settings > accesspoint > accesspoint=http.globe.com.ph > option > advanced > enter proxy ip and port

Instruction for ppc:


1. install Globe.cab
2. go to start > settings > connections > connections icon > advanced > select networks > edit myGlobe Internet and change accesspoint to http.globe.com.ph > next > finish > go to proxy settings > check both boxes > write 62.1.204.72 > tap advanced > http should be 62.1.204.72 and port is 80 > tap socks box and delete the ip then tap ok untill it closes the settings and bring you to the homescreen.
3. install java esmestec to device memory
4. install google map then wait.

installing ang configuring the connection settings are the same proceedure with my Opera Mini instructions except for the IP.

UPDATE: installed it on nokia 6630 but cant pass the pemission. i guess symbian users need to signed it first. dont know how, im not using symbian anymore.

i will also try to make an opera mini 2 and 5 that will be using the same ip so that users can hit 2 birds in just 1 stone. will update later

galing sige....good...para lahat free browsing tapos google map while on the road....kasi ginagawa ko nisasave ko lang ung location..ms maganda kpag may net sya using google map
